The Long Island City YMCA services enable 4,500 members in Queens, New York to focus on their health and wellbeing. In addition to creating a space for these members of the community, the organization offers need‑based financial assistance awards every year averaging USD 100,000 to USD 150,000 and provides after care to inner city students, 67% of whom come from single‑parent homes.
